Our aim is to help pet parents handle one ordinary care task with greater clarity. We publish original practical resources, then improve them when evidence or reader needs change.

Start with a real reader task

A new guide must answer a distinct question that the existing collection does not already cover. It needs a usable plan, decision aid or checklist. We consolidate overlapping ideas instead of making near-identical pages for search variations.

Use evidence within its limits

We prioritize veterinary associations, veterinary schools and established animal-welfare organizations for factual care guidance. Sources are linked with the part of the guidance they support and the date checked. Our household schedules and examples are editorial synthesis; they are not research findings.

We do not diagnose, prescribe, recommend medication doses or claim a one-size-fits-all diet or exercise requirement. A source citation does not imply the organization endorses this publication. AI assists research and drafting; it is not a source.

Make review status explicit

The launch collection has undergone an editorial source and safety check using AI assistance. It has not been reviewed by a veterinarian. We will only name a professional reviewer after that person has actually reviewed the article and authorized the attribution. We do not invent credentials, testimonials, studies or personal experience.

Keep business interests visible

Publish at a sustainable pace

Our planned cadence is one substantial resource or meaningful guide update per week. A scheduled slot is not a reason to publish a weak draft. Before release, we check source support, distinct purpose, safety boundaries, clear language, internal links, metadata, rendering and checklist usefulness. If checks fail, the piece stays in draft.

Correct the record

Report a possible error through Hale’s shared contact page, with the article URL, the wording in question and a source if available. Mark it “Good Company editorial correction.” We assess factual corrections before adding new content. Material changes receive an updated date and a correction note on the guide; spelling-only changes do not imply a new evidence review.

When a guide cannot help

New or concerning changes in your pet’s health or behavior need advice from your veterinary team. For an urgent concern, contact your veterinarian or local emergency veterinary service directly. Do not use a publication contact form to seek urgent care.
